The Moment That Changed Everything

After high school, I spent several years trying to find the right career path. I built homes, traveled the country installing fire protection systems, worked as a county jailer with hopes of a law enforcement career, and eventually moved into heavy steel manufacturing. I was searching for work that felt meaningful and gave me a solid foundation for the future.

That changed the day things went wrong. In my mid-twenties, I was seriously injured while unloading a flatbed trailer stacked with heavy-gauge pipe. The incident wasn’t just a physical setback—it impacted my confidence, my family, and the direction of my life. Multiple surgeries and a long recovery forced me to rethink everything.

That experience pushed me toward college, then into a safety internship, and ultimately into a full-time safety career. Since 2012, I’ve helped companies stay compliant, reduce risk, and strengthen their safety culture—not because I read about the consequences, but because I lived them.

Before joining RDC, I managed safety for large organizations, overseeing policies, training, compliance, workers’ compensation, audits, and more. I worked closely with third-party auditors, learned their approach, and realized consulting is where I can contribute the most.

To our RDC customers:

I understand the pressures you face—tight timelines, production demands, and budget constraints. I know the hesitation that can come with bringing in outside support and the concern that it may uncover issues you’d rather not see highlighted.

But I also know the value of having a partner instead of a critic. My goal is to help you protect your team, strengthen compliance, and avoid the kind of incident that reshapes lives.

I’m here to support you, work alongside you, and help create safer workplaces for the people who count on us.
